We bought the farm
After selling everything and leaving the city life behind, Stephanie and her husband John spent two years traveling in an Airstream trailer. So when they returned to the mountains of Western North Carolina for the third time, they decided it was time to park the trailer and put down some roots, literally.
Stephanie is a former bakery owner and for her, farming seemed like the next logical step in her career; it just had a much slower timeline. She has always used fresh herbs in her own cooking, and started farming to have them available in larger quantities.
Stephanie believes in good, honest farming practices and does not spray and does not till. Through her permaculture approach to farming, she draws great inspiration from the natural wonder and diversity in the forests that surround Spice Holler.
